Sharing teachable moments through stories for young children

Kids always want a story before bedtime. As a grandmother, I have always liked to create my own stories in my head. The kids – ages newborn to 7 yrs - love my stories, so I decided to put them into book form for others to enjoy. Each story I create has a learning focus – something that helps them understand and navigate the challenges of growing up.

As a former communications executive, writing comes easily to me.  Now that I am retired, I want to put my writing skills to use in a fun way that also helps kids.

A Lesson For Kate.png

A Lesson for Kate

Kate is an only child who some might call spoiled. She has everything she wants but has a hard time making friends. Maybe it’s because she tends to be a know-it-all. Other kids at school never get a chance to answer the teacher’s questions because Kate has all the answers. One day, Kate learns an important lesson—that she doesn’t know everything, and it can be fun to learn new things! Watch how Kate learns something new and makes a friend, too!
